Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Austin, TX
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing TX Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm. D.
Experience Needed: 2 years
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, on call required
Pay: $70.00+
Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacist In Charge
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety
• Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and provide medication counseling to patients
• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Maintain inventory control and oversee ordering of medications and supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
• Conduct regular quality assurance audits and implement improvements as needed
• Manage controlled substance records and reporting
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and health screenings
• Stay current with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Foster a positive work environment and promote team collaboration
• Resolve customer complaints and address concerns in a professional manner
• Participate in continuing education programs and professional development activities
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of pharmacy equipment
• Manage pharmacy budget and financial performance
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community partners
• Implement and oversee medication safety initiatives
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Mentor and train pharmacy staff, including interns and students
• Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics committees as needed
