This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered

Overall Purpose: This role involves analyzing prescription drug plans, developing strategies to reduce costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The consultant acts as a liaison between employers, insurance companies, and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to enhance the value and efficiency of pharmacy benefits.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Financial and Data Analysis: Performing and interpreting financial analysis of pharmacy benefit plan trends, developing and analyzing data to evaluate trends, and ensuring cost-effectiveness of benefits programs. Develop cost saving strategies and recommend plan design changes to improve member outcomes.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring benefits programs comply with Affordable Care Act (ACA), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and other legal or regulatory requirements, while interpreting benefit plans, insurance policy documents, and collective bargaining contracts. Staying up to date on changes in pharmacy benefit regulations and industry trends.

Strategic Planning and Vendor Management: Developing benefits strategies aligned with business objectives, managing relationships with benefits providers, and negotiating contracts to secure the best value. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms.

Other duties as assigned: Supporting processes related to interpretation of collective bargaining contracts, project management, employee engagement, and/or risk management.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Experience in pharmacy benefits management strongly preferred. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Pharmacy Benefits Consultants earn between $118,800 - $178,200 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
