Job Description:
The Pharmacy Manager directs the provision of medication related care to patients, oversees the daily operations of the pharmacy, and supports initiatives of Valle del Sol.
Essential functions
- Deliver and ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care in a clinic setting.
- Creates great patient and clinical partner experience and continually builds strong partnerships with both groups to meet their needs.
- Establish strategic objectives for the department.
- Implement plans and oversee pharmacy operations in accordance with regulations and laws.
- Review medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness with respect to patient data.
- Supervises and develops high-quality customer service.
- Dispense medication and counsel/educate patients on the usage of medications, adverse effects, and schedules.
- Contribute to the training and proficiencies of pharmacy personnel.
- Oversee and audits medication inventory to ensure inventories are stocked to meet the needs of patient care while minimizing cost, outdates and to promote efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Abide by and ensure staff follow all HRSA requirements for the 340B program.
- Perform self-auditing to ensure the integrity of the 340B drug pricing program.
- Submit monthly reports to the Director of Pharmacy, including dispensing records, staffing, and pharmacy activities.
- Perform annual evaluation for pharmacy staff.
- Attend manager meetings and other meetings as advised by the Pharmacy Director and/or CMO.
- This position requires consistent in-person attendance at the employees' assigned clinic. However, based on the employee's performance and the specific task the employee is accomplishing, limited remote work may be permissible.

Job Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree/Registered Pharmacist with a license to practice in the State of Arizona.
- Immunization certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of 340B experience.
- Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Must be able to provide culturally sensitive services.
- Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care.
- Must be able to execute conflict resolution.
- Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong verbal, written, and communications skills.
- Knowledge of MS Windows 365 environment and/or Electronic Health Records Systems.
- Ability to provide culturally sensitive services.
- Clearance from the APS Registry and from the Direct Service Central Registry.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Basic Life Support trained or the ability to be trained within 10 business days from hire date.
- TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray upon hire (as applicable).
- Vaccinations/Titer's Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella.
- Covid 19 Vaccination or Qualified Exemption (Religious or Medical).
