The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician position functions to assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients and necessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These services include:

  • Preparation and packaging of medications

  • Distribution of medications, supplies, and equipment

  • Maintaining proper inventory levels

  • Ensuring medications are in date and secure

  • Keeping appropriate records and documentation

  • Responsible for supporting initiatives of area supervisors and managers.

Must complete PTCB certification within 6 months of hire, unless current PTCB certificate is in place upon hire.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
