We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to oversee both operations and quality management within our pharmacy. This role requires an individual who can split their time equally between supervising pharmacy processes and ensuring compliance with quality regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of mentoring staff and maintaining operational efficiency while upholding industry standards. When will you work? The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:15pm What you'll do: Operations (50% of Role): Supervise pharmacy technicians in compounding preparations, filling and labeling prescriptions, and prepackaging bulk medications. Ensure consistency in accuracy, pharmaceutical elegance, and potency. Oversee adherence to USP guidelines and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Support workflow optimization, ensuring timely and efficient medication dispensing. Perform other duties assigned by management, the pharmacist in charge, or shift leader. Quality Management (50% of Role): Lead efforts to maintain compliance with USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and state and federal pharmacy regulations (Section 503A of FD&C). Develop and oversee quality assurance programs, including internal audits, process improvements, and corrective action plans. Conduct gap assessments and risk analyses to proactively identify and address compliance risks. Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure staff adherence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. Oversee training programs to educate pharmacy staff on evolving regulatory standards. Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and investigation of deviations, errors, non conformances, and complaints. Work with the PIC to support inspections and compliance-related inquiries. Who you are: A proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills, capable of remaining calm, professional, and diplomatic in a dynamic environment. Analytical and detail-oriented, with creative problem-solving abilities. Experienced in mentoring and developing a team of pharmacists. Skilled in Microsoft Office and proficient in pharmacy management software. Willing and able to obtain multi-state pharmacist licensure as needed. What you've done: PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Current pharmacist license in the State of California. 3-5 years of experience in a regulated pharmacy environment or equivalent.
